25 March (Wednesday)
Breakfast at the famous Australian Dairy Company!!!!!!! Queue was long, but as all online reviews have mentioned, the queue will move realllllllly fast and we got a seat for all 7 (!!) of us in less than 10 minutes.
You can ask for an English menu if you need one (like we did)!!!!! It's much easier lol and also the waiters won't hate you for taking so long to order because you can't read the Chinese menu
Cold milk egg white pudding (???) which I shared with Weiling, and considering the fact that I HATE milk, this was quite nice!!! There's a hot version too but I generally like my desserts cold.
And the must-try (according to like 99% of the reviews online) scrambled eggs on toast!!!!!!!! Really sinful lor like soOoOooO much butter in the eggs and on the toast (which I could have done without honestly), but 是很 shiok de
My only complaint is.................... The serving size very small la wtf haha Weiling and I even ordered another plate to share. Food was good, but not worth the price??? We ordered like average 2 items per person (e.g. 1 cup of milk tea, 1 bowl of pudding, 1 plate of toast and eggs etc) but our bill came up to about SGD60+ or even more??????
But with that being said, I wouldn't mind coming back again if I was around the area... But I'd really recommend eating somewhere else like Kam Wah Cafe for super cheap and good food!!!!!!! Where 7 of us ate both our lunch and dinner for like SGD55 only (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و
How cute
Us on our way to the ferry terminal to head to Cheung Chau Island!!!! This was also where we parted ways with Marilyn for 4 hours because she went to meet her HK friend!!!!!
I forgot how much the tickets were because we just tapped in using our Octopus card........ lolol but probably like SGD8 for a 20-30 minutes ride??
Ferry was huge and had a lot of seats!!! But this was in the early afternoon, and when we took the ferry back in the evening, it was SO full we had to sit separately haha
Satay sauce and curry (VERY SPICY) giant fish balls for HKD5 each
Fried ice-cream that Kim looOoOoOoves and bought 1 (HKD20) for each of us :''')
Ya this is a collage of me eating a fish ball and fried ice-cream
Dropped by at this quaint little shop called my arts while walking to the beach!!!
They sell quirky novelty items and I succumbed and bought these 2 tin boxes................. for SGD8 each ಥ_ಥ
Sam and I stood there for a realllllly long time trying to decide if we wanted to splurge or not??? And we really loved the 'Mood Altering Substances' because it reminded us of our 'Psychology of Addictive Behaviours' module╭( ・ㅂ・)و HAHAHAHAHAHA NERDS.
The beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We took many many photos and spent wayyyy longer than I had expected to here!!!
Don't know if you noticed a recurring "theme" in these beach photos
This wasn't nice
This durian mochi (HKD10) however, was super nice!!! We ordered like 3 to share among the 6 of us, but it was so nice, we went to buy 1 more each hahaha
Baked cheesy scallop (with ham and onion) for HKD35!!!!!!!!! Quite expensive but I really wasn't thinking straight honestly......... All I saw was BAKED CHEES- and I was like "1 please"
((also 2 seconds after I bought this, I saw a signboard literally next door selling 2 baked cheesy scallops for HKD50 lol ok.........))
Mini egg tarts for only HKD2 (SGD0.4) each!!! Super cheap and super yummy too!!!!!!
Didn't eat this but I liked these photos lolol
Stumbled upon this mama shop that sold a lot of these cute little knick-knacks
Very impractical but too cute to pass up!!!!!!!! So I bought it lolol
Kevin looking through all the mini lao fu zi comics hahahaha he bought like 4 packs???? And each pack had like 16 mini comic books inside for like HKD30 only!!!
Also saw a broadcast of LKY's funeral while we were paying for our stuff..... And we just stayed to watch for awhile
^behind the scenes of Kevin's step photos
The flowers were so pretty leh??????
Also, jacket courtesy of Kevin because I knew we were going to The Peak later on hahaha
((I also wore my own jacket inside Kevin's haha))
PUG
THE SAME PUG
Headed back to the main island and look at the queue in the Apple store???????????? 太夸张了 ba
Also after a loOooOOoOOng time trying to find the bus to The Peak................. We got on and took a 45 minutes ride up
SO COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Went up to take a few pictures before rushing back in lolol cause I weakling
We found Tai Cheong bakery!!!!!!!!!!!!
The egg tart so yummy leh!!!!!!! Would have ordered some back home but the lady said they wouldn't last for more than a day :-(((((((((( And would have ordered more to eat myself also but fattening la :-((((((((((
.... In comparison, the chicken pie was meh + I ordered that instead of my char siew pie by accident ;-( The crust was good, but it was TOO thick.
SO YUMMY I'LL BE BACK FOR YOU ONE DAY
Dinner at Mak's Noodles which I did not really enjoy........... Also ridiculously priced (probably cause it was at The Peak aka super touristy) at like ~HKD45++ per bowl/plate hahaha
Waiting for taxi to bring us to Mongkok BECAUSE ALL 5 TAXIS WE ASKED REFUSED TO BRING THE 3 OF US THERE LOL ((the other 4 already left in the first taxi))
We then decided to just let the taxi driver fetch us to the nearest MTR station (aka Admiralty). Took the MTR back to Yau Ma Tei instead because it was too late to meet the rest at Mongkok. Explored YMT with Weiling and Kim (before meeting the rest back at the apartment) and it was nice :-))
Weiling and Kevin's turn at attempting the Koala Biscuit Ball Challenge thingy because Sam wanted to LOL
...........And we failed very miserably la sigh pie
NO SELF CONTROL WHEN IT COMES TO SNACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've tried like a lot of them by now and omg they were all so goOooOoOD :''(
