Highlights of 2015

Annual recap post of the year!!! This time I was too lazy to do a month-by-month recap like before so I'll just touch on the more significant events la hor hehe

Relationships 
Maverick & I 
I guess the most significant thing of 2015 for me is EASILY my relationship with Mav 

Quite an eventful year with him: we first met in March and started dating in April, Mav enlisted into the army in June and we also had our first (sort of but not really) overseas trip together in October :)

Friends 
The last quarter of the year wasn't the best, but it was still a good year overall 

To friends I got closer to this year,


Friends that I may have drifted apart from for multiple reasons (e.g. different empires/modules/internship) but still hold dear to my heart,


And good ol' friends that stayed since 2009

Also to the other friends I've made through FO Camp especially, thank you :-)

Travel 

Flew overseas twice this year.... without any accompanying adults!!! Both of which were very significant also haha

First was Hong Kong in March, which I paid entirely for myself wtf heart damn pain 

+ Kimbowly who we met in HK directly!!

Second trip was to Adelaide for my 6 weeks Overseas Student Internship Programme!! 

Still not done blogging about it but it was an incredibly enriching experience to say the least

School 

School was tough for the first half of the year

A lot of studying as per usual...

But a few significant events :-)

Addictive Psych & Abnormal Psych Projects 
The group projects I did in 2 of my Year 2.2 modules was showcased in TP's Mental Health Awareness exhibition.. and I was vvvv happy :)

Psychology Student Conference 
Such a nerdy thing to be excited about but who cares!!!!!!!! 

A research study (/experiment) my group did in Year 2.2 yielded some interesting results and my group was chosen to present our findings at the conference!!!

I also met Maverick because of this conference so that was a huge bonus too HAHA

Took a plunge and signed up to be an Orientation Group Leader at the HSS Freshman Orientation Camp AY15/16 

Did some crazy shit I wouldn't have imagined myself doing and it was such an incredibly tiring job


But all so worth it in the end :)
This FO Camp also played a significant role in the starting of Mav and I lolol but that's another story on its own HAHA

Joined the Psychology Studies Interest Group committee as a secretary

Got into the Director's List again for my results in Year 2 

Couldn't be more thankful :')

Miscellaneous 

Hillsong Worship No Other Name Tour 

Had my first ever concert experience with Weiling, and I couldn't have asked for a better one :)

CHAT Ambassador 

Was a CHAT ambassador for awhile... but didn't complete it mainly (but not only) due to my overseas internship midway through

19th Birthday Celebration 

A very simple one but thankful regardless :-)

Mental Health 

Don't have any pictures for obvious reasons... but besides Mav, this was rather significant as well. The beginning of 2015 wasn't the best for me and I was constantly struggling, trying to deal with all the stress and anxiety school was giving me. I had my first panic attack in January, a few more after that throughout the year. I had way too high expectations of myself and while it probably did push me to work hard, it probably wasn't the best for my mental health. As mentioned jn, my Abnormal Psych group project video was one of my most proudest "achievements" this year, but it was also probably one of the worst triggers I could have been exposed to. Editing and constantly rewatching the video triggered and worsened one of my compulsions and it got preeeetty bad. But with that being said, I'm coping a lot better now la so all is well :)

I remember saying 2014 was relatively boring HAHAHA but 2015 was the complete opposite la!! This is also my last year as a teenager wtf next year I'll be 20 and going to Uni which I really dread :( 

anyway I don't really know how to end so ok bye c u in 2016

19 October (Monday) 

Mav rented an AirBnB (7 min walk from our house) and he came over in the morning to send me to school/work :))


sneaky shot of my first time sitting in during my supervisor's research study with a participant with ASD!!! pretty cool to know that what we're taught and have done in TP are things actual psychologists do!!!


and then I awkwardly sat in during my other supervisor's lecture......... alone............. also not to mention the fact that I came in when there was 15 min of the lecture left LOLOLOL
It's a uni course so there were quite a few older adults?? unlike what we're used to in poly where everybody's still young teens hahaha

The other 3 had already left because I was the only one who had to stay back till like 6pm haha. Mav was in the city to explore on his own, but he came back to the uni to accompany me till I finished and sent me home :')

Came home to dinner cooked by our chefs hehe: Rice with japanese curry & Jamie Oliver's asian meatballs!!!! The meatballs were so yummy????  If you can see from the pic, it has little strings sticking out of the meatballs LOL and it's actually beehoon!!!!!!!! really very asian lor hahaha

20 October (Tuesday) 
I had finished all my internship work that day so I went out with Mav!!!!!
By then I was already quite bored of the malls we usually visited (Rundle Mall & Westfield Marion), so I googled for malls in Adelaide to see where we could go LOL. After A LOT of researching, the biggest and nicest one I found was Elizabeth Shopping Center!!!

However it would be a 1.5 hour journey from Glenelg (where we stayed)............ LOLOLOL. But it was already the "most convenient" and nicest one out of all that I found *cries internally*

Waiting for the bus to bring us to the city, where we would take the train!!

Mav bought a random huge doughnut from the Adelaide train station for like $2-3???

It looks so unassuming and bad BUT IT WAS SURPRISINGLY REALLY GOOD LEH!!!!!!! I thought the bread would be stale etc but it was so soft and chewy omg ;_;


quite unglam but still so cute hehe
SO SATISFIED WITH THE DOUGHNUT!!!


Had to finish eating the doughnut before we entered hahaha

Similar to the trains I took in Melbourne!!! THEY SO MUCH SEATS UNLIKE THE MRTs IN SINGAPORE OMG


I think we went so far that we technically weren't in Adelaide anymore.............. HAHA


And after a loooooooooong journey we finally reached!!!

Walked past a Cash Converters otw to the mall and Mav really wanted to go in

in his happy place hahahaha

Lunch at Elizabeth's food court!!!

Mav kept telling me all about how good Australia's KFC is and he finally got to eat it hahaha
I was vvvv boring and got sushi... again HAHA I LOVE THEIR FAT SUSHI ROLLS MAN :'(

also here is where I accidentally broke the zipper on my bag and I felt so sad!!!!! Mav tried to fix it to the best of his ability and even refused to leave his seat till it was fixed :'''''''''( hahaha in the end I just used some safety pins that I had in my wallet and hung my jacket over it to hide my exposed, unzipped bag :(


At Target!!! Thank u for accompanying me to shop hehehe

Speaking of shopping........... I DIDN'T EVEN BUY ANYTHING HERE except food wtf!!!!!! Felt so bad cause I wanted to come all the way here (1.5 hours journey no joke) but didn't see anything I really liked :'''(

Anyway we ended up at the arcade after aimlessly walking around like 2 times LOL

I actually really like shooting games so we played that LOL


guess who LASTED LONGER IN THE GAME THAN HER BOYFRIEND muahahahahah ME!!!
but to his credit, I lost the second game la hahaha

Played like 2 games before we left because each game was $2 per person sobs


Went back home afterwards cause everything was closing, but thank you so much :)
