It's been 5 days since Mav arrived in Adelaide and we were already running out of places to go to since Adelaide isn't exactly the biggest. Mav then suggested we head to Morialta Conservation Park for a hike, which he had been to the last time he came with his OSIP batch.
I had enough hiking for the trip after my experience in Mount Lofty/Cleland Wildlife Park.... but still apprehensively agreed to go since Mav had already accompanied me to go shopping (his equivalent of hiking for me) multiple times that trip haha.
Wasn't off to the best start since we had ran for our bus from town to Morialta + dropped off 1-2 stops earlier than we were supposed to LOL. The walk from the entrance of the park to the base of the mountain was also exceptionally long??? I remember complaining to Mav: "wah damn tiring leh" and he said: "we're not even there yet" WTF #clearlynotsportyATALL

After we finally reached the base of the mountain (and took a toilet break), it was time to start our hike. Mav told me to choose between 2 paths and I randomly selected one, but it was probably a really bad idea because the paths were steep and extremely narrow!!! I was legitimately scared for our lives at this point HAHAHAHAHA because one wrong move and we could have fallen off the edge??
While we were walking to Morialta, I was confidently boasting about my hike at Mt Lofty, telling Mav that Mt Lofty's paths were so narrow and scary... Turned out the ones at Morialta were 1/2 the width and not even as well paved as most of the paths on Mt Lofty wtf HAHAHA I chua tio sia

I thought this was the end of our hike LOL... But it was only just the beginning because we still had to continue on to the other side to see the waterfalls

Look at me posing halfway wtf because right after Mav snapped this pic... we heard REALLY loud buzzing noises and I freaked out and ran away LOL
Wanted to head to the other side for the waterfalls so we began to proceed down
Looks deceivingly easy but the loose rocks made the walk down very slippery LOL
Also pls look at my ribbon socks hahhahaa I clearly had no hiking appropriate clothes and this was the best I could do LOL. The shoes aren't even mine, but Andria's, who vvvv nicely lent me hers cause I literally have NO sports shoes ;_;

Here was where we spotted 2 other people (Morialta was really empty as compared to Mt Lofty which was crowded) so we could ask themto take a picture for us!! I bet they thought we were siblings and even more so since Westerners probably think Asians all look the same HAHAHA (cause Outgroup Homogeneity Effect)
I wasnt expecting much from this hike... but I found myself constantly in awe of the view and God's creation??? And at times I was just very overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude and size of these mountains and forests and rocks and it was just really nice la T_T
Spotted our first waterfall (at least that's what I think it is) too!!!!
Took a break and here is Mav offering me his chocolate bar hehehehehehehehehehe so cute
Tried looking for more waterfalls (I think there were 3) but we failed :-((

Was heading back to where we started when I saw a flight of stairs and decided to climb up, despite feeling deadbeat already LOL
Long steep flight of stairs ended up leading us to this giant cave-like thing!!!
It was actually pretty cooling inside LOL

AND AFTER 1 HOUR OF HIKING UP AND DOWN STEEP AND SCARY SLOPES, WE COMPLETED THE HIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In all honesty, the hike was actually pretty doable and the view really made it worth it la!!!! PICTURES REALLY DONT DO THEM JUSTICE!!!
But thank you for bringing me out of my comfort zone :')
Slowly walked out to the bus stop to catch a bus back to town for lunch

Ended up ordering this because I am a sucker for egg mayo and avocado LOL
Mav's burgers and chips!!! Don't exactly know what he ordered haha but probably something with bacon LOL
And mine!!! Right before I removed all the veggies LOL
But............. where is my egg mayo T_T
I think when they said egg mayo, they just meant mayo (cause it's made with eggs) wtf I felt so disappointed??? I thought it'd be actual chopped hard boiled eggs w/ mayo like the ones we have in Singapore :-(
All in all, decent burger place that's worth a visit but I wasn't a very huge fan of the burger bun they used. Mav reallllllly loves this place though HAHA
After that late burger lunch, we headed back to Glenelg and back to my house to pack my shit so he could bring some back to Singapore for me first!! Went out for dinner afterwards and ended up at the pizza restaurant I've been wanting to visit and always walked past every time we go to Coles for groceries.
We ordered a small lasagne and seafood + ham (?) pizza to share but it wasn't spectacular or anything. Waiting time was long, portions were small and it wasn't very cheap either, I think it totalled up to about $28 for both of us :(
Ended off the disappointing dinner by treating Mav to an ice-cream cone for his pre-birthday treat!!! Bought it for him but he still shared like half with me cause he is the best ;_;
