today I had a nice stay home date with Mav where we ate monster curry and watched "train to Busan" before we had  steamboat for dinner with his parents, and then when I reached home I watched TV with my mum (aka sobbing at the masterchef finale and cursing the villains on 大长今) till 2.30am 

and despite not doing a single thing on my to-do list..... I'm glad I finally allowed myself to take the break I desperately needed today 

today as we walked to your home you looked lethargic af (no thx to ur guard duty yesterday) but as I trailed along behind you all I could think about was how perfect you were and I didn't realize I had been smiling to myself from the carpark to the void deck

I laid by your side using my phone as you slept when all of a sudden your eyes opened by a little bit and you looked up at me in the most groggy state and said "you look extra pretty today", despite the (unflattering) glow from my phone's screen and the (unflattering) angle from which you were looking at me. I laughed it off and said "that's because you're tired", and you mumbled "no really" as you closed your eyes and fell back to sleep. 

later on I got hungry and tried to sneak away from the bed to eat my steamed cake (thx ma) on your computer table so I wouldn't disturb you... but the moment I got up, you woke up and whined a little with your arms outstretched as much as your sleepy body allowed it to. you only went back to sleep when I sat at the floor next to your bed to eat, but not without a silly grin on your face :-)

uni week 5

The past 5 weeks of uni saw me constantly studying for my Astronomy elective... so to finally be done with my first Astro quiz and ready to move on to other modules is quite a relief. Astronomy was very interesting (albeit content-heavy af), but it's always nice to go back to what I'm most comfortable with: psychology.

Anyway as I was studying for my upcoming psych quizzes, I realized just how lucky I am to be studying something I genuinely enjoy??? I never thought I'd be able to feel this way yknow, to enjoy studying or have that burning desire to learn more or how I miss all the modules we took in poly and I rly rly rly cannot wait for my upcoming semesters in uni!!!!!! I guess I'm just super thankful that I managed to find what I actually want to do in life AND that I even managed to get an opportunity to further my studies.

on a kind of related/unrelated sidenote: uni has been hella intimidating with all the smart af kids from JC or poly and everywhere else la with coursemates who read their textbook materials and are way ahead or those who are confident enough to speak up in lecture/tutorial but i gotta remember that just because i don't speak up or don't understand the current lecture doesn't mean i'm not capable?????? and if i managed to get through the same situation in poly i can do this too????? +++++ even if I don't get straight As it doesn't matter because happiness & mental health > grades right????

lol probably the only good thing about Big Box was this cheap pack of papaya and my fav indonesian Roti Bakar (w/ keju coklat and pisang heh) - the rest of the place was a big disappointment T_T


Had a late dinner at JEM around 9pm before we went to NTUC to grab some stuff

It was a really nice rare date with my parents but then I had to go back to hall :( :( :( :( :(

It was my father's first time in NTU after I enrolled so we went around on a mini school tour!!! it was quite nice showing my parents around my second home LOL

went back home for the weekends (YAY) and jio-ed my mum to visit the new Compass One!!!!!! 

MAKI SAN!! tried the mega bowl ($11.90/$10.70 with passion DBS card) and expensive but wa super shiok. Compass One also has nine-fresh too and beard papa wtf everything good is appearing in the north east :') thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
