HALL XV PRODUCTIONS: 3

it's been an emotionally draining week for hall productions with so much frustration and stress going around and trying to stay up late after rehearsals end to study

i'm so ridiculously tired
my eyes are sore and they hurt


but all the words of encouragement and support and love and hugs and back/head pats make my heart all warm and fuzzy and I really don't regret anything

HALL LIFE

I had no lessons today but spent the entire day preparing for block supper with my other block reps!!!  we took like 2 hours to shop for groceries at Jurong Point, another 4 hours of prepping & cooking (for 100 pax) and 2 hours of serving the food for the hall. it was so tiring because we were non-stop cooking for 4 hours and at the end of the day the 4 of us were just stoning at our table, getting up occasionally to serve food for people.

after that we retreated to serene's room and had milo, before we went to surprise my hall productions director for her 21st birthday at her room.

I guess today was like the epitome of ~hall life~ for me... but despite the constant socializing and fatigue, I couldn't help but think about how glad I am to stay in hall. I mean, what's there to not like about jamming out to songs and singing at the top of our lungs as we make egg mayo in the pantry, meeting exchange students from Sweden who play along with our teasing, or being able to have milo dates whenever I want???I love bumping into my friends along the corridor and barging into their rooms as and when you want or to be able to go to hall events and not hesistating to talk to people because you know that everyone is super friendly and easy-going!!!! I have made so many incredibly fun and amazing friends here in hall and that is definitely my favorite thing about living here la (besides the convenience).

This whole first week of sem 2 have mostly been taken up by hall but I genuinely really do enjoy it la??? Not really looking forward to next week when lessons are going to start proper and I'll have to start balancing school work and hall ::((

you told me that you would have a long break before you officially ORD in May, making that only 3m 10d (instead of 4m 10d) till you're finally done with army?1??1?!!1?!? shit's getting so real that you've started to countdown with me and we're starting to say "when you ORD/come to ntu this year". funny how 9 days into a new year can change our mood and perspective so drastically but I'm not complaining :-)


it'll probably be a little weird to be able to see you as and when I want and have you so near me (vs 1h 15min/2h away) though but I!! Can't!! Wait!!

Quick recap of 2016 at the top of my head for memory's sake

• worked at cococane from Jan - July: the best job I ever had because gr8 boss gr8 friends gr8 location & gr8 (nonexistent) uniform
• learned about factor analysis: only because I had to do my final year project on it lolol
• bangkok w/ my kimo & ling: sponsored by hongbaos lolol thx to parents & relatives
• anniversary w/ mav!!!!
• officially graduated from poly in May: with some awards aiyo 😢 but A LOT OF SWEAT & TEARS ALSO
• mav off to Brunei & Hendon camp: it wasn't that different for me cause I still got to see him on most weekends but it was still not the most ideal situation cause tough times for mav:(
• start of my uni (and hall) life: which is basically the entirety of my last 4 months of 2016 lolol no time for other milestones or shit HAHA

if I were to sum up this year with a word it'd be BUSY (AF) lololol. I never thought i'd be one to ignore my blog because i've done so well with updating it over the past 2 years but it is what it is:( I always got very sad when people whose blog I read stopped updating because they were busy and i'd be very bitter and sad and think "GOT SO BUSY MEH CAN U COME BACK PLS" but I get it now:((((( uni honestly isn't that bad but it really sucks the life out of me LOL and whenever I'm free (which is rare) I just want to sleep :( I won't stop updating (for now) cause I really like looking back on my posts to reminisce sometimes LOL but it'll be vvvv infrequent updates la tbh hahaha
