Pre-birthday celebration with Mav!!!!!!!!!! Shiok (not because of my birthday but more of) because it's the first full day I get to spend with him ever since his 18 days army confinement??? :-)))
Slept in till early afternoon and after I was done preparing, Mav rung my doorbell carrying a whole bunch of stuff?????
He said he'd come over just to drop off my birthday present (in the yellow bag) but I didn't expect the other 3 things????
He got me 3 of Yamazaki's belgian waffles (which I really like) and these jeggings from Uniqlo!!!! When I saw the Uniqlo jeggings I was so surprised?? I saw them the night before and wanted to get them myself (for Adelaide internship) because they were on sale for $19.90. I didn't buy them yet though because I wanted to try them on first but the store was closing :-( Mav just stood at one corner looking very blur when I was looking at the jeggings so I thought he didn't even heard me HAHAHA but he did :''') and he bought me the exact pair I was eyeing :''') he also got the correct size for me :'''). To quote: "I stood in the store for like 20 minutes looking at these pants, thinking: 'will this fit Jerlyn????'" HAHAHA
AND NOT TO FORGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MY FIRST BOUQUET OF FLOWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I MAY BE BIASED BUT IT'S DAMN PRETTY???????????
after all that excitement we finally headed out to Orchard!!!!

The main reason we went all the way to town: Genki Sushi!!!!!!!!!!! Requested to eat here because i wanted aburi salmon :-9 ate till shiok and the bill was only $25+??
AND SPEAKING OF FOOD, MR COMMANDO HERE EATS SO MUCH NOW. When we first started dating, he'd only eat as much OR even lesser than me?? I can eat like 10 plates of sushi at one go but he gets full after like 5...... Or after dinner, I usually can still eat more and he's always like "how do you not look at the food and want to vomit i'm so full". But now it's like role reversal lolol and at Genki, he just kept ordering and ordering and ORDERING. I bought AmaSoy icecream later on and couldn't finish... SO HE ATE THE REST FOR ME???

made our way to Shaw Lido after a very fulfilling lunch because I wanted to watch 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation'!!!!!!!!!!! but sian la tickets selling out fast so we bought tickets to watch 'Vacation' instead hahaha
Also being the lazy ass couple we are, we just decided to sit outside the cinema for like 1.5 hours before our movie LOL......... going to town really isn't our thing

'Vacation' was actually REALLY funny???????? idk why there were so many bad reviews and even Mav said it was just random dry humour or what but I thought it was a hilarious movie leh HAHA. Anyway the movie had a scene where the families ate RIBS omg so I had a massive craving for anything meat-y lololol
But at 9.30pm there really isn't much food choices avail............. so we shared a box of rice and the last few yakitori sticks from Tori-Q for supper hehe

It's so cheesy to say this but my pre-birthday celebration with Mav wasn't anything different/special (besides the extra gifts) wtf because he treats me so well everyday :'''') But still a vvvvvv lovely day because I could finally get away from all the studying (temporarily)(because I continued studying when I got home)(till midnight ON MY BIRTHDAY)
but I'm really touched la because Mav really put in a lot of effort into my birthday present :-(
For over a month, he kept trying to ask me what I wanted and I didn't tell him because I geniunely don't know either LOL. So he wrote a list of possible gifts inside a notebook and tried to remember all our inside jokes for "inspiration" wtf!!!!!
Also since he was in confinement for 2.5 weeks, he barely had 2 days to buy and settle my birthday presents after he booked out??? He booked out late at night on 6 Aug, went all the way to Bugis himself to look for my present on 7 Aug (before rushing home to drop the present at home > meet me for dinner), and bought the waffles+flowers+Uniqlo jeggings from Tampines in the morning of 8 Aug before meeting me at 2pm in Punggol :''''( I know how much he doesn't like walking around (& ESPECIALLY shopping) but he'd do it for me sobbles
He also insisted on paying for everything that day and we kept bickering over the cashier LOL. And if I do manage to pay first, he'd get so upset and whine: "but I'm supposed to paaaaayyyy that's the whole point of today". My cardigan was also quite loose and kept dropping over my shoulders, but I'm damn lazy so I usually just leave it... But everytime he sees it drop, he immediately pulls it back up for me???? Also the best part was during the movie and we were holding hands. Halfway through, I loosened my grip because my wrist was hurting from holding his hand for so long (LOL)....... and HE STARTED MASSAGING MY WRIST FOR ME?????????? I didn't even say anything about it hurting but I think he knew because he could feel my grip loosen :'''''''''''''''''( At that point I was just internally sobbing tears of joy HAHAHA because it's so cute????
sigh what have I become LOL and i know la it's just the beginning "honeymoon"-phase now so i'm going to just be as appreciative as I can BEFORE IT'S ALL G O N E

Black bean sesame loaf from Bread Society!!!! I love the chewy chewy bread and I'm more of a bread > fillings person so I wasn't a huge fan of the excessive amounts of black sesame paste inside........ but not bad la quite shiok in moderation!!
