guess a wordy post will do for now even though I have like 100+ photos to upload and blog about BUT time is so precious now because my (unofficial) last school semester is ending and I have to make sure I do well for these last few components!!!!!!!! ok bye
1. 20 facts about me
I don't think I can come up with 20 but some facts:
I don't eat ANY vegetables and I'll go all out to pick them out of my dish (like spring onions omg get away)
I wear my watch at all times (i.e. bathe sleep eat shit)
my favorite color to wear is grey
I am a 100% evening (vs morning) person!!!!! like I work better at night and my usual sleeping time is 4am... u might think this is just because I have no choice but to stay up late to study BUT on school holidays I sleep EVEN later(or "earlier") at like 7am!!! morningness-eveningness IS an actual personality trait btw haha
psychology was never something I'd imagine doing because during my entire O levels prep I was aiming for NP's Tourism & Resort Management... didn't think I'd be able to score enough for psychology so I didn't even bother thinking about aiming for the course but look where I'm at now!!!!

When people stand on the right side of the escalator and!! stay!! there!! like hello if you want to not walk up/down can you move to the left and not disrupt the entire MRT station??????? especially when I'm in a rush omG I just want to hurl my shoes on them leh???
also hate it when people who aren't even remotely "old" or "elderly" take advantage of their age and cut!! the!! bus!! queue!! at!! the!! interchange!! like do you also not see everybody else who came 15 minutes earlier than you to queue up?????????? it's not that I hate having a lesser chance of getting a seat on the bus but I just hate it when they act so selfish!!!!!!!!!!!
7. What's in my bag
(hastily taken on a public bus) but today in my bag:
1) file with Assessment & Personality notes - to revise for the test later
2) my signature NDP 2014 fan - people always have comments about my fan because it's damn aunty to just whip it out midday to fan myself BUT SINGAPORE IS SO HOT??? :(
3) flamingo pouch - from Weiling!! inside are my EZ link card, keys and random assortment plasters for emergencies
4) lion face pouch - small because large wallets encourage me to carry too much unnecessary stuff
5) pink floral pouch - my necessities (e.g. nail clipper, pads, pimple cream, perfume, portable charger, tissue, comb, mints, and sometimes a granola bar if I can squeeze it in)
6) blue floral pouch - pencil case haha
7) scarf - because TP lecture halls are always bloody cold
8. Worst habits
only bathing when I hear some levels of annoyance/frustration in my mum's voice when she nags at me to go bathe lol else I will not bathe on my own accord AT ALL
also classic ol' biting my nails :( :( I can't go for pretty manicures but it's ok the whole concept of colored nails still confuse me

also Mav's 2h long admin time today and we talked so much about topics like my very odd current diet (I don't even wanna eat bread anymore that's how drastic the change has been), university dorm life, evolutionary (& child & social & cognitive) psychology and my dislike for hello kitty because it is literally the epitome of girliness and pink and ????? our call lasted for 1h46min (!!!) and even one of his bunkmates was like "wah you talk to your girlfriend super long" so that was nice :))))
13. If I won the lottery
I'm assuming it's a lot of money (like 1 million kind??) but put some money aside for emergencies/future?? give some money to my parents (and brother if I'm feeling nice) and then GO ON A SHOPPING SPREE WITH ~$10000 (which is still just a tiny fraction of 1million omg) and buy ridiculously overpriced clothes and shoes from places that aren't Taobao like Forever 21 or Topshop!!!!!!!!! and buy a new dslr and some fancy camera lenses and eat sushi??? I'm not a very spend-y person anyway so I doubt I'd even be able to spend so much even if I had all that money HAHA
if I wasn't still studying I'd go overseas with my family also la like UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND JAPAN!!!!!!!!!!!
14. An average day
erm my school schedule varies a lot but on weekdays regardless it's usually: wake up > school > home > take a nap > study till ~3am
on weekends it's: wake up > breakfast > nap 1 > lunch > nap 2 > nap 3 > laze around till my soul is filled with too much guilt > study
very exciting lor??? honestly speaking I don't even have time to watch my fav TV shows (teen wolf & switched at birth sobs) or even my Channel 8 9pm show :"( like I'm not exaggerating when I say all I do is study & eat & sleep (& throw in a bit of lazing on my bed scrolling through social media and mobile blogging on rare days where I feel extra free)

up till now it's probably still the release of our O Level results!!!!!!! because never have I ever expected myself to do so well??? I didn't expect to do this well in poly either but in poly we occasionally get back assignment/test grades throughout the semester so I moreorless can expect if I'm going to do well or not for that semester?? but for O Levels I didn't even get back results (obviously) so I only knew how well I did during the release itself haha
but I guess getting onto the director's list was another proud moment regardless... I unconsciously didn't even let myself think about d's list throughout the year because I thought I wouldn't even get in but ptl!!!! :")

erm because I wanted "jerlyn" in the name but I didn't want to put jerlynlam.... "jerlynthegreat" was already my Twitter & Instagram username so.... also "jerlynthegreat" came about because I saw someone's tumblr url as ____thegreat in sec 3 so I decided to be a copycat lololol

19. Difficult time in my life
(Fortunately) I don't think I've had an exceptionally difficult time of my life especially recently because even if things were tough, it's not like 100% tough yknow??? like there are still things that make me happy sometimes so at least it got me through??? also not good to dwell on the unhappy so!!!!!!!! but I guess if I had to choose it'd be when a relationship ends la because that really really sucks

HANDS DOWN SUSHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loOoOoOooOove salmon sushi sososososo much!!!!!!! I also love (Japanese) egg mayo sushi (not the angmoh sandwich kind lol) but only a few places have that like Nihon Mura :"(

21. Best things that happened this year
specifically this year... (not in order)
having my Abnormal Psych group video on OCD (& my Addictive Psych posters on gaming addiction) shown to representatives from CHAT and in the school's mental health awareness event
being chosen to present our APRP-B group presentation at the Psych Conference (also where I first laid eyes on a particular vvvvvv cute senior LEL)(which brings me to my next point)
having my ec (cough Mav cough) like me back HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I know I said not in order but this one by far the most shiok :-))))
being able to go on an overseas trip with my friends!!!!! even though the total damage was like $1000+ la sigh not so best but oh well
getting on the D's List for Year 2!!!! and I guess so far that's all I can think of haha

23. Favorite childhood book
I actually read a lot of books when I was younger and my mum always brought me to the library hahaha. I LOVED THE "FROM THE FILES OF MADISON FINN" SERIES and I got so happy when I bought the 3-stories-in-1 kind of books because they were SO thick and would last me longer!!!! The Twins of St. Clare's was Enid Blyton was also quite good!!

They haven't been updated recently though :( :( also I am biased and I like to read my own cousin's blog (myquixoticfantasy) because she's updating a lot more now (cough hint JingWen)
on dayre some that I like are merepoppins, magmuffins, jazzyseet, rosychoox, gameofscones and tieponytail!!!! also I don't know ANY of them and some are not like the very "popular" kind and we have no mutual friends whatsoever??? I only knew about them through my explore page on dayre/through dayre-hopping LOL I'm such a creep........ I just follow a bunch of random people that I don't know on dayre but they're all so interesting to read???? :(

I actually started blogging since I was P4 because it was the "in" thing then.... and idk I guess it sort of stuck with me even though I know the whole blogging scene has died down a little.... :( it's just nice la to have an outlet to pen everything down and to record daily happenings??? basically typical answer la: blogging is like my diary and it's way better because writing in a diary takes up too much time & effort and I can't put photos so blogging is the way to go!!!!
