5 October (Monday)
Public holiday in Aussie (labour day?) so we decided to spend our day off work at another Asian Festival!!! Had to walk past Rundle Mall so we just did a bit of shopping before heading to the festival
Packed scrambled eggs and cheese sandwich for lunch and it was yumz
erm at a random surf shop
After shopping around, we continued on to Rymill Park (where the festival was at) and walked further down Rundle Mall
LOL
Saw American Apparel AND HAD TO GO IN!!!!!!!!
Most of my fav basics are American Apparel-inspired (from taobao) LOL so I guess I'm a pretty big fan
Cute guys from a random cafe LOL hollaaa
Rymill Park!!!
huhuhuhu
had to pay like $10 for entrance fee which was a bit sian LOL but hey ho
So basically the park is divided into 5 main areas to represent the 5 different Asia countries: Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Korea and China and each area sells local food from that country
Vietnam even had boats hahaha
My $5 Vietnam iced coffee cause I was feeling splurgy............ regretted it the moment I saw how small the cup was LOL :-(. Sent this to my father (who works in Cambodia and frequents Vietnam a lot) and he sent me a picture of his own Vietnam coffee that he bought for 50 CENTS WTF :-(
Thailand
Where Kevin and Andria bought a cup of thai milk tea and we sat to eat our packed lunch from home (because who wants to pay $15 for a bowl of asian noodles sobbles)
was taking a picture of the skies using my front facing camera when my hair decided to fly in the shot HAHAHAHA i was very amused
(evidently) Korea
Where Andria had a dance party
And we watched people fighting
Random Asian elements sprawled around the park LOL
HAD TO TAKE A PIC BECAUSE MAVERICK
Also this was basically the highlight of our trip to the festival: a free karaoke booth yo
It is really very cool LOL like just this huge ass box converted into a Karaoke room!!!
AND OF COURSE WE HAD TO GIVE IT A GO LOL
it was actually pretty legit and interesting: except for the fact that we realized that whatever we sing into the mic gets projected to everybody outside the container WTF no privacy one hahahahaha
OUR HOMELAND CHINA
Sat around more because again expensive food expensive everything hahaha
And our last destination: Japan!!!
Ended up spending the most time here
because
of
THIS
WAHAHAHA we found these wooden platform things and just nua-ed there lol
really very shiok!!!!!!!!!
And not long after these guys came up to sell some drinks to us and Sydney got cheated here LOLOL
We went for another round of free karaoke to make our $10 entrance worth it... because we basically didn't do anything except walk around and groan at the expensive food (tho mostly me) LOL
Group pic before we left!!!
L: Stopped by Rundle Mall to find a toilet and ended up sitting at the most fancy looking food court leeching wifi LOL
R: On the tram back!!!! Also leeching more wifi haha
Dinner that Andria cooked for us!!!!! Super yummy basil pork which was very nice because it got to satisfy our Asian food cravings (that we didn't get to eat at the festival lolol)
