Bangkok '16 (Day 3 & 4) - CTC | Union Mall | Siam Night Market | Platinum Mall

9 April (Saturday) 

Had one of my BAKE cheese tarts for breakfast :-9 

and off we headed to Chatuchak Weekend Market!!!! I sacrificed my weekends w/ Mav for this weekend market lololol 

Kim went to church so it was just weiling and i to brave the heat!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

our lunch that left weiling and I SUPER HAPPY & SATISFIED!! And it was super cheap too like 100Baht??? when the guy told us how much it was, we had to ask him again because we couldn't believe it haha 

the girl photobombed us and it was quite funny... I turned to look at her after this pic and we both laughed HAHA 

I didn't take much photos because we did not last very long in CTC??????? it was so hot and humid and I underestimated my abilities to withstand the heat LOL 

took a cab to nearby Union mall asap for some aircon LOL 

Union Mall was kind of a disappointment though :-( I heard mixed reviews about it regarding the price range here, but I thought it was only slightly cheaper than Platinum Mall. But in its defence, I managed to find a few good deals and it's very spacious as compared to Platinum!!!

We also might have not spent our time there very wisely because we mostly just sat downstairs eating hongkong egglets and recharging ourselves.... HAHAHA NO REGRETS THO cause we really neeed it 

BUT I FINALLY GOT TO EAT CREPES TEEHEE 

Idk why but by day 3, we were both SUPER tired and very nua???? It was a pretty long ass ride from the mall back to our hotel and Weiling even fell asleep. I was on the verge of sleeping too but it was just the 2 of us on a taxi in a foreign country.... and I didn't want to risk being kidnapped ;_;  

Headed to Siam Paragon for dinner at Sansab!!!! I saw this on Dayre a few days before coming to BKK and told Weiling (who was planning our itinerary) that I wanted to come here like 3 times lolol 

Came for this!!! It wasn't very spectacular, but it did look very aesthetically pleasing LOL
THE PAN WAS SURPRISINGLY VERY SHALLOW THOUGH LOLOL because I expected it to be like a hotpot?????????????? 

This however was marvellous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's like this yoghurt/yakult ice-blended thing with jelly!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD AND YUMMY OMG I CRI would go back just for this 

my calves were very thin that day and i luv it 

also new top and bag that I love and immediately wore from Chatuchak, 120B and 100B respectively!!! 

Headed to Siam Center afterwards to check out Sephora for NYX's soft matte lip cream but they didn't have the colour i wanted :-( 

Siam Night Market afterwards!!!! It was really crowded but clothes and stuff were not bad and relatively cheap too!! 

Finished walking through the night market really quickly so we took a cab down to this massage place Weiling heard about :------) We both did the 1 hour thai massage and wtf damn shiok pls 

We were given tea afterwards (which seems to be the norm in these spa places) and it was such a zen and chill experience LOL 

Bought this banana + chocolate + condensed milk toast from Palladium Night Market but it got stale fast and was rather disappointing :-( the owners were so lovely tho!!! 

The masseuse retied my hair after she massaged my head and I thought it looked quite ~*~speshul~*~ 

10 April (Sunday) 

Last day in BKK!!! and a commemorative shot outside Palladium Mall, which is just next to our hotel!!!


Had our lunch at the famed Platinum Mall food court again


I really wanted to get japanese food (below) but felt like I didn't eat very much thai food so I ordered this???? LOL it's tomyum pork beehoon (????) and it was quite nice, albeit a bit spicy and came in a very small portion :-(

had to have my grass jelly with brown sugar before leaving!!! had this in CTC and it was a saviour in the heat wtf


BUMPED INTO MY PRECIOUS WEIWEI (colleague from work!!) AGAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))


Shopped around Platinum again after eating because we were too lazy to go elsewhere haha

The only thing I got from Platinum Mall (that wasn't charged exorbitantly) was a pair of grey culottes from this 200B shop which I quite like!! There are more than one of these shops in the mall and it's quite easy to spot because of its trademark "SALE" and "200" papers plastered on the walls LOL

After which, we went back to our hotel to grab our stuff before leaving for the airport :-(

i really enjoyed my stay at The Bekerley Hotel and i highly recommend it????? the location is pretty good, rooms are huge (3 of us stayed in the family premier) and the staff are all really friendly!!!!!


en route to the airport on a METERED CAB!!! the hotel staff helped us ask all the taxis the came by if they would turn on their meters, but like 3-4 rejected us??? LOL everyone quoted like 500-600B but guess who only paid ~200+ in the end YEY

OK BYE I miss bkk already and I can't wait to go back!!!! Hopefully for more days so I can explore other places like Victory Monument, JJ Green and the other 2 Ratchada/train night markets!!!
