"The whole question of how the physical
development of the brain affects language learning whether for good or ill
remains almost entirely unresolved, for we remain humbled even on the eve of
the 21st Century by the complexity of the human brain"
I guess it really is true... Like we humans are so so so so so complex and there never really is a definite, clear-cut yes or no answer when it comes to the human brain. Everything is always just maybe or dependent on various factors. I don't know leh like it's quite hard to accept the lack of definite answers in this quest for ~knowledge~ la, but I guess it has its good points too. Like we are all just in this huge giant spectrum of stuff and we aren't all like in strict categories yknow. Like I could be semi-smart instead of thrown into the 2 not smart at all or smart categories, and not given a chance????
Anyway I'm really talking about like >2 different things in 1 paragraph so I probably don't make sense at all or maybe I'm just not smart at all HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Anyway sidenote like I actually really do think I'm not thaaaaaat "shallow" like I always say I am and I can be quite "deep" sometimes LOL........ I just don't have the ability to verbalize my internal thoughts well enough for it to make sense to the external world hahaha OK BYE I'll probably delete this part if it gets too embarrassing
And anyway the whole point for that quote (before I got distracted and started rambling) is because having a maybe answer (i.e. maybe there is a critical period for second language acquisition) makes writing my essay much harder hahahaha LIKE NOW I HAVE TO THINK ABOUT BOTH YES OR NO POINTS AND HAVE VARIOUS INTERNAL CONFLICTS (✖╭╮✖)
