AFTER OUR APRP-B FINAL PRESENTATION YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With the best best best best best ever project supervisor ever, Wah Pheow (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
And the rest of the Emotional Design groups :--)
Just for background info, APRP-B stands for Applied Psychology Research Project-B hahahaha. Our projects were all based on manipulating certain aspects of a learning presentation (i.e. powerpoint slide teaching a topic), in order to elicit emotions from the learner watching the presentation. That's emotional design.
So in my group's case, we manipulated the colours and shapes used in our powerpoint slides to see which colour/shape will elicit the most positive emotions, and how these emotions will affect the learner's overall learning performance.
In layman terms, we want to see if different colours and shapes can influence how much people can learn from the powerpoint slides haha.
psychological experiments research jargon aside,
My APRP-B group, Sydney, JJ and Jess <3333333333333
Missing Jason cause he left early hahA
And throwback to last semester's APRP-A...
WHICH WAS ALSO WITH JJ AND JESSICA HAHAHAHAHAA
Last sem's APRP-A was undeniably much easier than APRP-B...... But as shitty and frustrating as APRP-B is, I guess what I've learnt here really made up for everything.
I also went to sign up for Special Project next semester (and got in)................ Which is like APRP-B, but instead we're doing projects for actual companies so it's confirm plus chop going to be even harder :-(((((((((((( and more stressful :-(((((((((((( and I don't even like group projects :-(((((((((((( but Wah Pheow said you will learn EVEN more from Special Project, so it'll really prep me for the year end Final Project (dum dum dum) so ᕦ(◡‿◡ˇ)ᕤ

CUTE HOR THE ROUND AND SHARP TREES HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I DRAW ONE OK
This was a screenshot from our final presentation slides, and I'm not sure if I can post this up here but aiya our research project also over already hahaha
So yup we had 6 different combinations of powerpoint slides, which we showed to 15 participants each. Then we gave all of them a questionnaire after the powerpoint presentation, and then we compare their scores to see which combination produced the better score!!!!!!! (and "comparing scores" sounds super easy but we don't just look at the scores like that ok lol we have to do a bunch of statistical tests to see if the effects were significant and shit)(and that was tough as shit)
Our results were quite confusing la... But we did find that using warm colours + round shapes produced better learning scores than the other combinations, which was what we had hypothesized (i.e. predicted)!!!!!!!!! Plus we actually replicated the results from someone else's ~more professional~ study SO YEY :---)

And as much as I always say I HATE APRP-B (and APRP-A)...... There really is this sense of satisfaction that you get when you actually conduct your own ACTUAL experiment/research study. I know APRP-B is just a really small scale experiment but it still makes you feel.... Professional?? Like you're one step closer to becoming an actual psychologist!!!!! AND there's also that even greater sense of satisfaction when you actually get the same results as a real team of psychologists' experiment ~~(n_n)~~
And I talk until like APRP-B is over but it really isn't LOL we still have 2 more reports to hand in but by 27 Feb, it'll really be officially over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Photo is fuzzy :-( but here's the other 2 members of Jeggings who were also in Emotional Design, Princess and Kev :-) Was really really really great to have familiar people around every Wednesday in (our only) class for 4 hours, because the other 4 of our clique were in other topics/classes hahaha
Was supposed to stay back with my APRP-B group to start on our final report............. but then this happened
Made Kevin wear his blazer to take pictures with us else he would have brought it for nothing (he didn't use it during the presentation -_-) HAHAHA
Trying to convince me why he needs to stand on the left, and not me -______-
Even though my left profile is much nicer than my right -______________-
POSTER BOY ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ ヽ(*´∀`*)ノ
And then we went for prata at Tampines interchange and I totally postponed my group project to Monday lolol #PrataPriorities #PrataOverProjects
