After visiting the Margaret River Chocolate Factory, we went to Fremantle, which is this small city in Western Australia/Perth (I think). I really enjoyed our time at Fremantle though. I thought it was really eye-opening and just really cool la. It was like Ballarat of Melbourne, and it's like the more "rural" side of Perth as opposed to the bustling city that we were in the previous few days.
Everything was so picturesque!! THIS PHOTO DOES NO JUSTICE TO ITS BEAUTY because it was taken in a moving bus lolol. It was all literally brown roof brown brick houses, and it really looked like something from a storybook la!!!
Our lunch, which was at Cicerello's Fish & Chips
Had to wait before our food came, so we walked around taking pictures
Self-praise but I really love this picture!!!!!!!!!!
Battered fish & chips!!! I usually really like battered fish &chips but I didn't really enjoy this as much as I thought I would have :-( Idk if it was because I had a TERRIBLE sore throat or because I thought it was too oily hahahaha
As you can tell, there were a whole lot of seagulls
Next stop, Fremantle Prison for our prison tour!!!

This really nice man who helped us take the group photo below :-)

And off we went!!!!!!!!!! Hehehehe I was actually really excited about the prison tour because this kind of things fascinate me??? A bit morbid but it's quite interesting la.
Prison grounds, which were actually built by the prisoners themselves ಠ_ಠ
L: If you can notice (I put an arrow there so you should), the window actually has the side profile of a woman's face...... And the woman in the window is actually the first woman who was hanged in Fremantle Prison. Creepy ಠ_ಠ. But what she did was a bit creepy also la, I think she gave her stepchildren poison which eventually killed them??
R: The interior of the prison, which was divided into 4 divisions (arranged according to seriousness of crime)

There were a few prison rooms there but this was one of them. I think the rest were slightly bigger though.

Can you spot mEeeEeeeEeEeee muehehehe
Behind the tour guide is the schedule that the prisoners had to follow!!

There's a netting between the platforms because prisoners were known to throw things from above down to the guards hahahahahaha. I think it didn't stop them from throwing their (cough) human waste down though lololol.
Church for the prisoners, because religion was the only thing that gave them hope in prison.
lol no I did not purposely make this picture big??????????

Went outside to see even more prison facilities. These barb wires/glass shards were to stop prisoners from escaping. If I remember correctly, the glass shards came first because they thought it wasn't as "barbaric" as the barb wires...... But then again both are equally barbaric so
(side note the skies in Perth/Australia are just super blue la!!!!!!!!!!!! it's super pretty)
but no la seriously I was genuinely interested in the tour REGARDLESS HAHAHA
Actual tables actual prisoners used to use and all rusty oOooOoOoHhhHh

List of stuff prisoners could buy from prison
Doesn't look like much, but this was the place where a few prisoners spent the last few hours of their life. Before being hanged, they would spend the remaining hours of their lives here :-|
We also got to see the room where they were hanged (and told a few gory stories) and it was creepy, but really eye-opening. Didn't want to take pictures la cause obvious reasons????????????????????
ANYWAY
Leftovers of the paintings some (or one??) prisoner(s) did on the prison grounds
And what the actual painting looked like in the beginning

Group photo not enough so
MUEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE
⌒3⌒ I think he loves me ⌒ε⌒
At the souvenier shop, where I bought like these painting things for my young neighbour but it didn't even work >:-( >:-(
Being a creep even in Perth lol
Anyway, I really liked the prison tour and I actually really learnt a lot of things!! There were like funny stories and the more sad, gory ones but I really enjoyed it!!!!!!!!!!!! There are a few different types of tours available, and (I think) ours was the "Doing Time" tour haha.
