All these scenery photos were taken from inside the (moving) bus because we didn't get to explore much haha

Lancelin Sand Dunes
Deceivingly scorching hot and warm
BUT REALLY THE COLDEST AND WINDIEST PLACE WE WENT TO no joke no joke at all!!!!!!!!

Had the shock of my (our) life when we went down the bus and realized it was absolutely freezing cold!!!!!!!!!!! Even the sun that was warming the whole bus up, didn't help in heating us at all when we were off the bus lolol

The sand dune doesn't look steep here but IT WAS wtf
It also looks like it was very easy to climb up to the top but IT WASN'T wtf
Now that I'm looking at the photos idk why it looks so calm and peaceful when it was really the total opposite
AND YOU CAN SEE HOW SMALL EVERYBODY LOOKED AND HOW HIGH IT REALLY WAS

After much persuasion I convinced myself to go up

Start of our treacherous and dangerous journey up the mountain of sand doom
Lol can you see me at the bottom left using the sandboard to pull me up

The sandboard isn't very light in the first place, but the wind was so strong it actually blew my sandboard away from me!!!!!!! I don't really remember exactly how it felt lol I just knew it was so scary wtf. Like the winds could just blow me off any minute and send me flying down the hill banging my head on the bus
And it was a sand dune after all so obviously sand went all over our bodies and our face hahahahaha
Sand does not taste very nice
I already wanted to give up but thankfully Mari told me to go on sniff sniff

AHHHAHAAHAHAHAHHAA THIS WAS THE WORST PART and ya that's me with hair all over my face

It was so embarrassing wtf because I started crying and panicking so so so so much. I wasn't expecting it to be so steep????? And sidenote tears + sand don't go very well together HAHAHA

I was with JunXian, Marilyn and Val, and they all had to wait for me to get over my fear and keep convincing me to just go ahead with the ride. AFTER LIKE 5 MINUTES OF PERSUASION (and reasoning with myself - because if I don't go down, the 3 will go down without me and I'll have to walk down the sand dune ALONE and walking down is probably way riskier than going up wtf), I just pushed myself and the board down AND I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok lol it was all over in a matter of seconds and I don't even remember what it felt like T_______T

I would have gone for a second round but I didn't want to go through that emotional ordeal again wtf
Maybe next time cause I quite regret only going down once :(

Sand all over my mouth and glasses and hands but not even 1/10 as bad as others HAHAHAHA

Cold aside, the sand dunes were actually really, really pretty
And though it was super cold I would have prefered this waaaaay over the heat HAHAHA

Almost all of the people from our Psych Year 2 batch
Couldn't have asked for a better bunch of people to go with because everyone here were so welcoming and friendly :'''(
