University of Western Australia
WHICH IS SUPER PRETTY AND HUGE AND AMAZING I WAS HONESTLY VERY VERY IMPRESSED (and impressed is an understatement) IT'S NOT EVEN A SCHOOL IT'S A PARK WITH SCHOOL FACILITIES IT'S SINGAPORE'S BOTANIC GARDENS BUT TEN TIMES BIGGER AND BETTER

Anyway

Before we had our Uni tour, we had lunch at the Uni's cafe to really get a feel of Uni life
DSC_2780
Spinach Pumpkin & Ricotta Lasagna that I would have bought if it wasn't for the fact that I already ate during Murdoch's tea break for us :(

I bought this Charlie's purely fruit smoothie (probz the healthiest thing I had in that trip) and in Australia (ok in Singapore too) I'm all like TRY ALL THE NUT BARS I SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I also grabbed a Fruit&Nut bar before checkout and total I had to pay Aud$7.60 wtf

Random Aussie guy and Mari and Val looking at UWA shirts
They ended up buying the shirt for Aud$25 AND I REGRET NOT BUYING but I really could not for the life of me justify spending Aud$25 on a normal, cotton t-shirt that just has UWA's name on it :( :( :(

But come to think of it, I (my parents) spent almost Sgd$30 on not 1, but 2 normal, cotton t-shirt with Hard Rock cafe's logo on it........ And on the last day I had Aud$20 left that I ended up just using on candy because no use bringing Aud$20 back to exchange into SGD?????????  So I should have bought just spent that Aud20 bucks on the shirt right :( :( :( :( :( Lol but it's ok next time when I go to UWA as a student I can buy all the shirts I want *self comforts*

At UWA's bookshop which had this really nice mirror that made my calves look nice

Btw my skirt's from Target from the day before at only Aud$7!!!!!!!!! Mari found it for me on the clearance rack, and I was contemplating on whether to get it or not cause the clearance price tag said $15. I got it in the end, and after I got back to the hotel, I checked the receipt which said that this skirt was marked down to $7 :'''''''') So pleased :''''''''''''')

JUST SEEING THE WORD MAKES ME FEEL SO PROUD

Had a short briefing in this computer lab, and then we proceeded on to do some hands-on psych stuff
DSC_2827DSC_2847
Wee Liang wearing this glass goggles (that make everything you see upside-down) and trying to catch a ball
It was used on a man to see how long his brain would take to adjust to his new "perspective" on the world (it took ~1 or 2 weeks in case you were wondering)(our brain is super amazing)(psych is also super amazing)

I think this was the phantom limbs (??????) experiment where like someone would do the same actions on both a fake dummy hand (that is visible to you) AND your real hand (that isn't visible to you). In this case, both hands will be brushed by the paintbrush on the SAME fingers.
After awhile, your brain would register the dummy hand as yours because that's what you see??? And so when the paintbrush brushes on different fingers (instead of the same fingers, like before), you actually will feel whatever you see on the dummy hand on your real hand????

?????????????????????? all over because I don't even know how to explain and also because this experiment did not work on me :( Everyone was like "omg this feels so weird" but I couldn't feel it wtf

Some illusion thing that makes the Egyptian head look as if it's always looking at you, no matter where you view it from

Our student tour guides telling us all about their Uni life
This video didn't capture much content and I only posted it because I like to hear their accents HAHAHAHA

DSC_2861
Also a very shaky video of one of the hallways (with journal articles plastered all over the walls!!!)(this made me very excited because it's something I know lol ikr damn nerd wtf)

Georgia, one of our student tour guides

We learnt this in Murdoch but did you know more people in Georgia are called Georgia and more lawyers are called Laura/Lawrence, and more doctors are called Dennis?? HAHAHA it's called implicit egoism AND NOW YOU KNOW WHY I LOVE PSYCH SO MUCH

Thought I wasn't going to enjoy the talk, but I surprisingly did even though I was so tired I could have just slept. It was informative and Dr Su was pretty entertaining :)

Dinner at a Malay cuisine restaurant and all photos taken by Wee Liang with my camera (that he seemed to take a liking to throughout the trip) haha

It was Friday night and most of the shops opened till 9pm (unlike the usual 5pm D-:) so our teachers let us roam around to shop hehehehehehehehe
SPENT OUR PRECIOUS 30MINUTES AT WOOLWORTHS because food >
DSC_3032
I bought Almond, Brazil Nut and Cashew butter for only Aud$6.73 wtf I honestly regret not buying more because it's so expensive here in Singapore???????? The almond butter I bought in Singapore before coming to Perth was like Sgd$14 and it was of the same size wtf :(

By the time we were done, all the other shops had closed so we retreated back to our hotel :(
