I was busy the whole of February with work & Major Project prep and became very shitty with blogging consistently :-(
Sometimes I want to just not do it.................. but I know if I don't blog about my week/month, I'll forget everything and I can't bear for that to happen LOL

6 February (Saturday) 

Reunion dinner with my father's side!!

Annual hongbao lucky draw!!! I got the highest prize for the past 3 years straight ($100!!!)... but this year I got second lowest of $20 HAHAHA legit DAMN SAD :-( 

Lol someone was like "Funny shot now!!" but...................................... y liddis HAHA 

8 February (Monday) 

CNY Day 1 didn't start out as early as it did the past few years lololol really got no feels??? LOL 

Playing with the Snow app and their filter really quite chio de!!

In my $38.90 jumpsuit that my parents sponsored hwa hwa hwa 

My parents went off to Shaynnie's house first while Mav's parents came to pick me up to visit his uncle's place!! Stayed there for awhile and watched Indiana Jones before my parents came to pick me up to go Bukit Batok (from Tampines) wtf

First time bringing a S/O to go bainian and it's really nice but wtf super stressful coordinating visits????? Especially because both Mav and I usually have a lot of houses to visit on CNY haha. That plus PMS got me cranky at some point so sorry mav :-(

Reached home to my fav girl!!!!!

And 5 min later, KB called to ask us out for bingsu....  so we met our cousins again LOL

It was a nice night and a gr9 way to end day 1 :-))) 

9 February (Tuesday) 
Day 2 is usually super busy cause we have to visit like 4 houses in the morning LOL

We ended our 4 visits at 3pm and I immediately went home to crash omg old already?!?!?!?!?!

10 February (Wednesday) 
Day 3 of CNY saw me carrying out my (very belated) birthday surprise for Mav!!!!!! And by very belated I mean like 3.5 months late hahaha

I had this idea to bring him to watch a movie in Gold Class and planned it like a month before his birthday in October but never got to carry it out because:
1) I went to Australia before we had a chance to
2) Mav is rarely free on weekdays (#army) and weekend tickets are significantly more expensive and most importantly...
3) No nice movies to watch???? LOL

But lately Mav has been raving on and on and on about Deadpool, asking me if we could go out just to watch it. The thing about Mav is, he is super lazy and hates going out... so him iniating a day out just to watch Deadpool is a huge deal haha. Since Mav had weekdays off because of block leave, I decided to carry out the surprise on one of the CNY days!!!

Anyway in the end the Deadpool tickets were as expensive as weekend tickets because Wednesday was the exclusive premiere/1 day before actual release date..... so going on a weekday also not cheaper :-( crei

Booked the tickets 3 days beforehand and told Mav to keep Wednesday free to accompany me to Suntec "to collect something from a Carouseller". Mav was obviously quite sian because I was dragging him out of the house LOL.

When we reached Suntec, he realized that they had a cinema here and he got SUPER EXCITED like a little boy!!!! He saw that they had Deadpool showtimes and kept asking me: "omg can we please watch deadpool can we please watch it pleaseeeeee" . I had to play along and told him: "ya ya we can go check tickets later".

When we went to check the showtimes, Mav was disappointed because he realized that the showtimes he saw were only for Gold Class and all sold out anyway................. before I told him that I booked GC tickets for us and needless to say he was vvvv happy “o(*^▽^*)o”

lol and then when we went into the lounge, he was like "omg why didn't you tell me to not wear slippers or berms i feel very out of place" HAHA

We tried out their menu and ordered a duck confit and Angus beef burger!!! Didn't have time to eat in the lounge so we opted to have it during the movie. Both were actually REALLY good but it was v hard to eat in the dark la hahaha. I wasn't very engrossed in the movie so at least I had time to just focus on my food LOL


We also ordered waffles w/ ice cream (which sucked, waffles were rock-hard) because there was some Choose 3 for $35++ offer!!! In total, our 3 dishes were $41.20 and with the exception of the waffles, it was vvvvv worth it!!!

Overall, the Gold Class experience was super shiok la!!!! Tickets were $39 each for premiere screenings/weekends but weekday is only $29 ($26, if you pay by Mastercard i think) so not too bad. The mains were also surprisingly really good and I'd go again if I was feeling very rich.... which won't be too soon HAHAHA

Had work in the morning and Mav came to pick me up with sushi :') Had Llao Llao afterwards which we ate while sitting outside of the carpark HAHAHA #romantic

Was in school the entire week to meet my Major Project group because of our final presentation on 26 Feb...

and LOL this is me playing with snapchat filters because my brain needed a rest from Factor Analyses ahahahah

I don't know how to go about this post without sounding like I'm bragging but it's been something I've been thinking about a lot in light of the recent university-applications-rush & the sudden realization that we're about to graduate: 

I know it seems like I don't deserve to be stressed or worried or scared but I am. I have an almost perfect GPA, I could possibly have a chance in graduating third place of my cohort, the least I'm going to graduate with is a "Diploma with Merit" and I already got accepted into the university I've always wanted to go (with a bond-free scholarship to boot). 

So what do I have to worry about? 

How about the fact that I REALLY can't screw up Major Project now because I might lose that chance of graduating in third place? Or about that aching feeling in my chest because I so badly want and have been praying to be valedictorian but also how impossible it sounds and why I have never told anyone because it seems like a laughable joke?? 

There is so much (self-exerted) pressure on me to be good and every time I don't exceed that expectation I feel like an embarrassment. I'm so so so so close to the end and to prove to myself that all the hard work I've put in and tears I've shed and sacrifices I've made in the past year studying were all worth it.

I know I'm already doing well by society's standards and I don't "deserve" to worry but I just really really really really want to be good enough for myself.

#fancy4toADE (XXIII) - Hallett Cove | Glenelg Beach

24 October (Saturday) 

It was Mav's birthday that day... but also his last day in Adelaide with me ;_; 

Sent him off in the morning and it was sad ;_; 

Went back home to meet the other 3 and we headed out in the afternoon to Hallett Cove!! 

Taking the train for the 2nd time this trip!! 

It was a pretty long wait and another pretty long journey there... but as we got closer everyone started getting very excited because we saw how amazing the view was!!!!!!!!! 

Finally reached the station after about 1.5hours and it was very very empty even on a Saturday afternoon 

Had to walk past all these houses and the rest were talking about how shiok it was to live near a beach haha 

The beach!!!! and the playground!!! 

Played at the swings a little and this boy came to play with us hwahwa 

Pictures are unedited cause I really took too much but look at how the colours of the ocean and sky blend in together!!!!!!!!!!!!! It looks dark and dreary here but it was vvvv pretty la 

Even the rocks were super pretty wtf 

Also one thing to note about our visit to Hallett Cove that day was...................... THERE WERE SO MANY FLIES????????????????????????? After being in Australia, I've learnt to appreciate the flies in Singapore a lot more because Aussie flies are SUPER different and extremely annoying!!!! They fly all around in groups and "knock" into your face/legs/arms/body wtf. Like you can actually feel the weight of their little black bodies hitting your face and you can never get rid of them no matter how much you shake/move????????????? I cursed and swore so much because I was super annoyed :-( 

This happened a lot towards the later part of our trip, because it was Spring approaching Summer so ALLLLL the insects came out to play ew 

anyway besides that, the view was amazing la LOL 

We went to a cafe nearby to have some icecream.... and then went back home LOL. We wanted to go to the mall "nearby", but travelling time would be 1 hour wtf so we decided to forgo it 

Bye Hallett Cove!!!! Pretty view but I doubt I'd be back because there really wasn't anything to do LOL 

Reached Glenelg and went to the beach!! 

the water was really nice and cold and that was all we did that day
