More comprehensive and detailed posts soon after I edit all the photos............ ( ´Д`)
Meanwhile here are a few (not all) of the things we did n_n I'm also stealing my mum's photos cause she very on one, everything has been uploaded on Facebook???

Day 1

Woke up at like 4am, reached the airport at around 5.30am and I saw Ivan, Zhihang and Darren working in the departure halls HAHAHAHAHAA
(not the best photo to start this post off but) ✈ 2h 45min flightttttt ✈
Wasn't expecting it to be longer than the flight to Cambodia (~1.5h?) but I slept all the way so doesn't matter

Anyway we reached Bali's airport.......... And had to wait for almost 2 hours for the staff of the villa (18 Suite) we were staying at to pick us up...........
IT MADE ME VERY VERY VERY GRUMPY because one of my biggest pet peeves is being late/people who are late :( :( :( But the driver/all the staff in the villa turned out really nice so forgiven HAHAHAHA

Our first indo lunch at Es Teler 77, in Discovery mall before checking in
This meal made me realize how much I really love Indonesian food!! Roti Bakar is like one of the BEST dish on earth lol no grade 9999 wagyu beef/abalone/caviar will ever top this simple, humble dish u_u
(more details when I upload my dslr photos ok 请等一等)

~ Beachy Bali ~

Our villa had a small private pool like how cool???????
But it's very small la halfway I just gave up cause no space lololol

Fat dieeeeeeeeee supper/dessert at Flapjaks because I was craving for pancakes (which I didn't even eat in the end lol fail)

Day 2

Holding a luwak at this coffee/tea plantation place
This photo not very flattering hahaha GOT NICER ONE IN MY DSLR I SWEAR

Fun fact: Luwaks actually like to eat coffee beans, and these coffee beans are actually excreted out in the Luwak's waste (aka shit it out la HAHA). THEN the coffee beans are taken out from the waste, cleaned and then made into coffee HAHAHAHAAHAHHAA wtf who came up with this idea
And don't play play lol luwak coffee beans is expensive compared to normal coffee beans!!!

Tea/coffee testing yum
Bought one tiny cup of Luwak Coffee for like 50,000 rupiah I think???? Not a coffee expert so idk how to enjoy haha oops

MY FAVORITE PISANG GORENG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Battered over breaded anytime!!!!
And I know I say a lot of food is my favorite but pisang goreng is really a ~classic~ favorite that I've loved ever since I was little/growing up in Indo?????

Went to a place full of monkeys after lunch

AND A MONKEY ATTACKED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (not this one ^)
After snapping photos of her (ya her), I turned around and wtf suddenly felt someone/thing pull my romper and I panicked omg omg omg I still thought it was my father playing a prank on me??? Turns out the monkey wanted to take the hand sanitizer hanging of my bag cause it was in a bright purple holder lololol

Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil
HAHA

At Beachwalk, which is this open area full of more well known angmoh shops (i.e. Zara, Pull&Bear, Victoria's Secret, New Look)

Went to the beach opp where we got totally bombarded by locals trying to sell us things
Fell prey to all of them because so hard to reject EVEN THOUGH WE TRIED SO HARD

Me with my $7 henna and a brown anklet on my right ankle
I actually wanted to do the henna so I didnt really mind doing it... But the lady who "sold" (forced us to buy) the brown anklet literally just put it across my ankle while I was seated down doing the henna. I was like "no no no"and shaking my head A LOT but she was so persistent walao ugh cannot stand it
But ok la the anklet quite nice and I know they quite poor thing also la. Just didn't like being forced to buy it zzzzzzzzzzzzzz and it wasn't even cheap

Me and my mum

Dinner by the beach where we watched the sun set :)

And our driver found us a Terang Bulan stall!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We actually call this Murtabak Manis in Jakarta but realized that Terang Bulan is actually the proper term for it haha.
It's like SG's mee jiang kueh, and they usually have fillings like peanut, shredded cheese (keju), chocolate rice and condensed milk. IT'S REALLY THE BEST THING EVER LA SO SINFUL BUT DAMN GOOD!!!!!!!! Also another classic indo favorite of mine ugh cheese, chocolate and condensed milk.......... Too good TOO GOOD

Day 3

☂☂☂☂☂☂
Raining in the morning but it didn't stop us from continuing on with our water activity of the day!!

Keep you all in suspense first because I'm quite lazy to get the CD that has all the photos taken of us doing what we were doing hahaha

~ Sneak peek ~
Really really cool experience!!!!!!!! But quite expensive lol like USD$60 per person or something... I think we got it slightly cheaper though cause my parents spoke to the people there in Bahasa Indonesia HAHAHA

Nasi Padang for lunch
Like Singapore's mixed vegetable rice but not really haha same same but different

Went to visit a Hindu temple after lunch!!
Had to wear a purple sarong if our bottoms didn't touch our knee and my sarong kept falling off lolol

Us with our personal driver, Kadek who's really really nice!!!!!!! This is quite an awkward photo cause impromptu hahahaha

This is his website and if anyone needs a personal driver for Bali, HIRE HIM OK his English is actually pretty good and he doubles (triples?) up as a tour guide and a professional photographer!!!

Super prettyyyyyyyy view from the cliffs where the temple is at

Shopping at Seminyak Square...
Clothes in Bali are actually quite nice la but not cheap at all :-(

Had our dinner at Bubba Gump!!!!
The atmosphere is super fun and food was quite good too!!
Wouldn't really go again though because it's quite expensive, and I feel like it's more of a "have to try at least once to experience" HAHA

Took a horse "carriage" ride to the Hard Rock shop later at night

Day 4

Local indo food again for lunch at MM Juice ◕‿◕

Made's Warung for dinner
Only ate a little because I was bloated :( :(

Randomly took a pizza sample and it was so yummy!!!!! Like it wasn't greasy at all and the crust was so soft and chewy omggggg so good (this was from the Italian restaurant near Macdonald's at Kuta Square)

Walking back to our villa and stopped by at Discovery Mall to shop for awhile

Last swim in our private pool :(

Day 5

Checking out (╥﹏╥)

Me with our (aka father's money, my stuff haha) buys from the Duty Free shop omgomgogmoggmogmgomgogmogmg can you guess what my father bought for me hehehehehehe

Baliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Anyway I stayed in Kuta hahaha. At first when I read blogs about Bali I was like "wth is Kuta/Seminyak/Jimbaran and all this places I thought Bali is Bali",  but I realized it's just diff areas in Bali la like how Singapore has Tampines/Orchard/Bishan... Lolol super loser max

Toilet
Important segment cause I pee a lot but the toilets in Indonesia are generally quite clean!!!!! Even toilets in places where you don't really expect it to be clean are not that bad la, just really wet sometimes HAHA

Getting around
We got around Bali 85% through Kadek, our personal driver. He didn't only drive us around Kuta but also to areas in Bali like Seminyak and Jimbaran!! Usually at night we just walk from place to place because a lot of places in Kuta is walking distance from our villa (18 Suite).

We only took the taxi once and I presume all taxis don't have a meter like Singapore taxis... Prices are usually fixed I guess, so ask before you get on?? Beachwalk to Discovery Hotel (near our villa) was around SGD5.

AND THE HORSE RIDE THING lolol there are so many in Kuta and it's so expensive, like $10 for quite a short distance... My father agreed to let us ride it to let us ~experience~ la HAHAHA. Warning lol the carriage is DAMN small... We had to SQQQUEEEEEZEEEEEE

Communicating
Sorry can't help because we lived in Indonesia before HAHAHA
Even though my brother and I totally forgot how to speak in Bahasa Indonesia, our parents still do hehehe

Food
INDONESIAN FOOD SO GOOD i love it
I love everything but these are like my top 5??
1)Siomay
2)Terang Bulan (pisang, chocolate and keju!!)
3)Pisang Goreng (esp. with keju)
4)Pempek
5)Jus Alpukat (Avocado juice w/ chocolate sauce)
We saw a few tourists ordering the typical fried rice, fried noodles and nothing wrong cause we do too but don't always do that ok HAHA. Step out of your comfort zone and order things like siomay and pempek please MUST TRYYYYYYYYY at least once!!!

And idk if it's just me or what but in Kuta, there were quite a lot of \ western/italian etc restaurants more than restaurants selling local indo food?? Like there were A LOT of places selling pizza, burgers etc and even greek food LOL. Might be because Kuta is the more tourist-y place with more westeners???

Shopping
(just warning la I very cheapo when it comes to spending money. So what I think is expensive might not be expensive at all to someone else LOL)
Some shops/boutiques actually have clothes that are really nice, but they're not like cheap or anything... Bamboo Blonde and Somewhere are actually some of the boutiques with really nice clothes but prices are like SGD30+ on average?? Bali also has the few typical shops that Singapore has like Esprit and Giordano (surprisingly A LOT OF GIORDANO HAHA). Also Bali has a lot of surf shops like Billabong, Quiksilver, Roxy, Hurley etc but go to the outlets for lower prices!!!

Roadside stalls in Kuta sell the same few things (e.g. tanktops, shirts, rompers, dreamcatchers, bracelets) and the clothes usually range from SGD7-12?? Their rompers and dresses are actually quite nice one!! They're usually one size which kind of sucks cause I really like them :(

TOILETRIES AND PADS ARE REALLY CHEAP IN THEIR GROCERY STORES (e.g. Hypermart) GO AND STOCK UP LIKE WE DID HAHAHAHA

Villa (18 Suite)
I really enjoyed my stay there!!! It's a relatively small place but I guess that makes it more homely la. The staff there are really friendly and they greet us everyday when we walk past the lobby. One night my father also asked if they could go out and help us buy terang bulan & murtabak, and they did LOL. Also you can also take these order sheets for breakfast from the front desk, like tell them what you want/don't want and also indicate what time you want it to be delivered to your door step the next day.

My only really really small complain besides the whole late at picking us up from the airport thing, was that sometimes they would miss out LITTLE things like cheese/jam for breakfast HAHA. On the first morning they totally missed out my breakfast order but after calling to inform them, they delivered it to us in like ~10 minutes? Also the bread I ordered on all 4 mornings were like stale/burnt so don't expect like super amazing breakfast... LOL it was neither bad nor good la, just average.
