Had the sudden urge to blog about something that I've been thinking about recently... Plus I really wanted to show off my fringe cause I was really pleased about how it turned out after I cut it all by myself. And to show off my fringe of course I need photo right, so I went to my webcam because like "how hard can it be to take a webcam photo" 

AAAApparently very hard because it took me like 20 minutes to decide how to pose and how to smile etc etc wtfzxc. I just don't think I'm like good (??) at taking face "selfies" HAHAHAHAHA. I used to when I was like in Sec 1 lol wtf but now I just find it quite awkward...(sidenote I don't like the word selfie at all it sounds weird). BUT anyway I really wanted to show off my fringe la so I had to suck it all up and do this for its glory!!!! But in the end I just gave up la and stuck with these 2 photos where I "just so happened" to not look at the camera HA HA haaAAHha 

Anyway long story short... After I spent so much time just trying to take a decent webcam photo, I lost the whole feel/urge/passion/etc to write what I had wanted to write so I'm sorry no thoughts/rambling post today oops HAHAHAHA but you did get a wordy chunk about my issues with taking (face) selfies lololol 

This post was so redundant and unnecessary but I didn't want to waste my 20 minutes of effort SO YA HAHA ok bye

Luckily I already had my lunch on the plane if not I'll be complaining x10292931 more lolol


He finally found us!!!!!!!!!!
Turns out he had to fetch another villa guest back to the villa before us, and when he came back he could not find us NOR could we find him (⌒-⌒; )

The driver's phone could not be reached so we called the villa to ask. They said the driver already left the villa and to look out for a man in a batik shirt and green pants. So we did and there was only one, but it wasn't him cause my father went to ask la (funny story we actually saw this guy 2 days later somewhere else in Bali).
WHEN I SPOTTED THE DRIVER LATER ON HIS PANTS WERE LIKE BROWN NOT GREEN WTF HAHAHAHAHA no wonder we couldn't spot at all???? Plus the airport was so big and ya la


What we would/should/could have seen after arriving hahahaha

Less than 10 minute drive from airport!!

Probably like 85% are 1 room villas, while the remaining 2 room villas are all the way at the back

Service was too good!!! Even though the driver was late, he also seemed apologetic so it's all OKAY

Could only check in like 2 hours later so we walked a really short distance to Discovery Shopping Mall  

At the back of the mall is a really pretty view of the sea


Can actually see Kuta beach which is just opposite hahaha



Discovery Mall is actually pretty big and it's quite confusing at first LOL. Anyway we settled for lunch at 77 Es Teler to have authentic indo food yumz

Lol quite straightforward la. Sweet tea (i really likeeeeee grew up drinking this) and spicy chicken noodles THAT LOOKS LIKE MEE POK HAHAHA

Siomay

It's like the siu mai we have in SG, but with this peanut sauce (like our satay sauce but thinner). Usually accompanied by other things like potatoes and tofu also!!! My parents like to add kecap manis (indo's sweet soy sauce) to siomay and basically to any other indo dish like even fried chicken la LOL

AND THE ★STAR★ OF THE NIGHT/DAY/WHOLE TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 

Roti Bakar Coksuke 

 Melted chocolate rice sandwiched between toasted bread smothered in butter, topped with heaps of shredded cheese and then drizzled with condensed milk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just realized after googling, that "coksuke" just means COKlat, SUsu, KEju (chocolate, milk, cheese) lololol wtf no wonder I was like I never heard of that word before

IF THAT DOES NOT SOUND GOOD IDK WHAT DOES!!!!! Shredded cheese and condensed milk sound like they don't go together well but they are like a match made in heaven!!!!!!!!! And I'M GETTING SO HAPPY TALKING ABOUT THIS BECAUSE I GREW UP EATING THIS omg you have no idea how much I really really really love this???? I even remember always begging my parents to bring me to this roti bakar place to have my toasted bread of deliciousness for supper lolol

My aunt swears by Sour Sally so when we saw a store, we had to get a cup HAHA
It's actually really nice and it tastes like Yoguru's froyo!!! I know lol I used to think all froyo tastes the same but it doesn't HAHAHA. Like Yoguru has this slight ice cream taste to it wowowow Jerlyn the froyo connoisseur

Comes equipped with a sink, stove, fridge, chopping board, utensils including a knife and even a microwave!!!!! There's also a toilet on this level but it was behind me when I took this photo LOL

Toilet comes with both a bathtub and a rainfall shower head thing
Also has a hairdryer AND THEIR TOILETBOWL ALSO HAS A BUTT WASHER THINGAMAJIG HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA omg you know like in Japan and all where you just turn a dial and it sprays water out and cleans your butthole lolololol



3rd storey is the room my brother and I took
And sidenote wtf 3 storeys YOU KNOW HOW SIAN IT IS to walk down to the living room and realizing you left something (aka your phone) UPSTAIRS. Usually when that happens I'd just leave my phone upstairs lol lazy 4 life I DON'T NEED WHATSAPP OR INSTAGRAM

When I actually bother to walk upstairs to get whatever I forgot to bring down, I don't have to worry about missing the show I'm watching downstairs HAHAHA

Anyway the shower and toiletbowl are in cubicles with doors 

ONE THING I WASN'T USED TO THOUGH was how the doors to the room swing outwards???? Like my Singapore room door swings inwards... So when I first tried to open the door by pushing it in I couldn't open it LOL 

Exercising my thighs all day everyday

Went for a short swim...... Before I immediately fell asleep on the daybed in my swimming costume and wet chlorine filled hair FOR 3 HOURS

Woke up HUNGRY so we went to jalan jalan to find a good local Indo food place for dinner

Stumbled across this restaurant serving not only Indonesian food, but also Vietnamese and Thai cuisine!! 

Fried brinjal and fried tempeh and tofu

Tempeh is fermented soybeans and I know it sounds really weird but I really liked this growing up HAHA. I'm also a huge fan of tofu but I thought the tofu here tasted a bit sour so I left it LOL

EATING THIS REMINDED ME OF MY CHILDHOOD IN INDONESIA!!!! Indonesia satay is really nice la like the sauce is sweet and slightly sour... Kecap manis and lime juice????????

My brother and father decided to go for a dip in the pool again while I stay dry and watch thrashy shows on MTV LOL

Later on in the night my mum dropped a bottle of beer LOLOL
So here's the room service guy helping us to clean up the mess even though it was so late at night already!!!!
